IMPORTANT: RESTRICTED & PROHIBITED ITEMS
For safety, legal, and liability reasons, Safe Ship Moving Services has strict guidelines about what can and cannot be transported. Please review all categories carefully and make alternative arrangements where necessary.
Items Not Recommended for Transport
Safe Ship Moving Services does not encourage or recommend that the following items are loaded on the moving truck. These valuable personal items should be kept with you at all times:
Airline tickets
Car titles
Cash
Precious metals (gold, silver, copper, etc.)
Cell phones and chargers
Checkbooks
Laptops and personal electronic devices
External hard drives or thumb drives
Real estate documents
Family photographs and albums
Financial instruments
Insurance policies
Jewelry and furs
Keys (car, motorcycle, boat, ATV, file drawers, safes, locking cabinets, toolboxes)
Passports
Personal documents (birth certificates, green cards, work permits)
Medical/dental records
Prescription medications
Children's records (immunization documents, school records, car seats)
Restricted Items
These items require special handling, preparation, or have specific conditions for transport:
NO Trash bags or plastic bags for linens. (Clothes ease put into a box/bin)
NO Alcoholic beverages of any kind (Liquors/ Wines)
NO Medications are to be placed on the truck
Prohibited Items
These items are not to be transported and the carrier will not allow them to be loaded under any circumstances:
Household cleaning products
Corrosive chemicals or poisons
Batteries, alkaline and lead-acid (automobile)
Lawn and garden chemicals
Flammables and explosives
Live animals or plants
Gas and oil products
Compressed gas cylinders
Wax candles
Illegal items or substances
Ammunition including gunpowder
Firearms
Human ashes
Medicine/ Medication/ Medical devices
Alcohol or liquids of any kind
Hazardous materials
Fire Extinguishers
Aerosol Cans
Filled Trash Bags
Pets
Liquids of any kind
Perishable items
