Moving Day Preparation

When Will the Movers Arrive?

We'll Contact You 24-48 Hours Before

Because of the careful planning involved, our dispatch team usually confirms your pickup date and time frame 24 to 48 hours before your scheduled move.

Once everything is set, our Customer Service team will reach out to you (or your designated point of contact) with the exact arrival details. This gives you plenty of time to prepare!

Before the Movers Arrive

Payment Ready

Have your pickup payment ready in cash, cashier's check, or postal money order (made out to the carrier).

Clear Pathways

Remove any obstacles from doorways, hallways, and staircases to help movers work smoothly and quickly.

Secure Pets

Keep pets in a safe, comfortable spot away from the busy moving activity for their safety and comfort.

Disconnect Appliances

Movers do not disconnect/reconnect appliances. Ensure all appliances are unplugged and disconnected before they arrive.

What Movers Will NOT Handle

Important Limitations:

Disconnect/Reconnect Appliances or Electronics

The moving team does not disconnect or reconnect appliances (including TVs). Make sure all your appliances and electronics are properly turned off and disconnected from electric, gas, or water lines before moving day.

Reassemble Furniture at Delivery

Movers will disassemble standard furniture pieces as needed at no extra cost for safe transportation. However, reassembling furniture is not included in the basic service. If you need reassembly, let us know before your move so we can arrange it.

Moving Day Checklist

All small items packed in boxes
TVs boxed and mattresses bagged
All appliances disconnected and unplugged
Payment ready (cash, cashier's check, or money order)
Pathways cleared of obstacles
Pets secured in safe area
Phone charged and available for driver's call
Customer or representative on site through the entire duration of the move
